This makes it that much harder for Indigenous entrepreneurs to access the capital needed to grow and sustain their business. On average, Indigenous entrepreneurs have fewer financial resources and a smaller base of assets for collateral than non-Indigenous entrepreneurs. Of all women incarcerated federally, 50% are Indigenous. Indigenous people account for more than 30% of Canada’s federal prison population. The education levels of Indigenous people are lower than the Canadian average with a small percentage having university degrees. With a lighter banking presence in rural and remote areas, access to financing and financial advice is often limited.Ĥ. A lack of reliable internet service, or no internet service at all, makes communication with customers, suppliers, and financial institutions difficult.ģ. It certainly would have been easier to do had I had nothing to do while only drinking juice, but life doesn't stop for anything so neither does the cleanse.To realize the full economic, social, environmental and other benefits of a thriving Indigenous business community, there are challenges to overcome. If I were to do it again, I would have followed the before and after instructions more promptly as to be better prepared for the cleanse. I really believe that the cleanse rebooted my digestive system and helped me understand more about the importance of what I put into my body. However, all toast jokes aside, I really enjoyed cleansing my body of the toxins and junk that had been collecting up into it. I finished this cleanse feeling hungry and in desperate need of some white toast with butter. It was time for us to get back into the kitchen. My mom admitted that she really missed chewing.
I cannot stay away from toast for too long, but lasting three days was an achievement. I drink the final two juices with pride and crawl up in bed as to avoid any other foods. Upon arrival back home, I give myself half an avocado because I literally cannot look at liquid anymore. I spent the day with my hands covering my stomach because I'm so hungry. Juices 2-4 are devoured pretty much one after another.
